The Central federation of leisure gardeners, home-crofters and small animal breeders of Austria was founded in 1916 and is the union and lobby of the Austrian leisure gardeners.
It rents and administrates 780 ha of land for the leisure gardeners.
The membership amounts to 40,235 families unified in 398 associations and 5 federations (Lower-Austria, Upper-Austria, Salzburg, Styria and Vienna).
