What do we offer?
According to the statutes of the Federation its main purpose is to promote and further develop allotment gardening in Finland. To fulfill this task the Federation gives advice to new allotment garden sites and provides information and assistance to communal decision makers as well as authorities and private citizens who are interested in establishing new sites in their communities.
Furthermore, the Federation encourages the members of their member associations in ecological gardening and social activities by organizing training in gardening as well as a variety of associative issues, like e.g. how to run an association and its financial matters, in secretarial tasks, communication etc.
The Federation offers both its member associations and their members (the allotment gardeners) several extensive member benefits. In 2017 a membership card offering various benefits for allotment gardeners in the affiliated associations was issued. A widely used benefit is the Federations financial support to the associations for arranging courses for their own members. The Federation also offers opportunities for the members of the affiliated associations to take part in or volunteer in various kinds of events like garden fairs, get-together events, congresses etc.
